you tow a boat with you you’ll be able to get it into the lake
no problem. Watch for signs on some lakes which only
allow non motorized boats on their waters.
You will find many private camp sites in Alberta. Each
has full hookups or a variation of services for your enjoyment. With all the
different sites available you could find it difficult to
make a choice.
Some say the coffee and hot dogs taste better when cooked on
a open camp fire. You’ll have to visit Alberta and find
out for yourself.
Well treed spacious campsites can even be found in the
badlands up by Drumheller. Drumheller is a wonderful
place to visit. You might even find your very own
dinasour bones!
The city of Calgary has 8 campgrounds around the outskirts
of the city. So if you are looking for a bit of a rustic
atmosphere but want to be close to the city these are
perfect!
For you summer festival goers you will find campgrounds
right in the cities or towns. Almost all the towns and
cities have at least one municipal campground. Their
rates range from $10 to $30 per night. You will even find
hot water showers at most of them.
While in Alberta why not do some camping in the Rocky
Mountains? Absolutely breathtaking and you might even
come across some natural hot springs.
Central Alberta has some of the most beautiful wilderness in
the province. With pristine forests and mountain vistas

camp if you want to hike in or go in on horse back.
The mountain streams offer some of the best fishing in the
province.
If you visit the mountains during the spring and summer you

mountains will give you the best of what mother nature has to
offer in the way of prestine wilderness.
From Calgary to its southern border with the
U.S. you will find many parks to camp in. A one hour
drive from Calgary puts you in the Crown Jewel of Canada’s
parks Banff where you will find diverse and unique natural
features From ice fields to natural hot springs.
Waterton Lakes National Park straddles two countries and is
noted as the world’s only international park. The beauty
of this park and the many campsites will offer you a unique
camping experience
The largest of all the provincail parks is Peter Lougheed
Provincial Park which offers some of the best cycling and
hiking trails in the province. With its spectacular
scenery and award winning interpretive programs will this park
to be one of the best in the country. If you have never
camped with dinosaurs then you have not camped in the badlands
of Dinosaur Provincial Park. This world heritage site
will offer all the kids in us the dinosaur experience. Be
aware that 70% of the landscape is protected and off
limits.
But you can still find bones around any of the campsites
there is 128 public campsites and 480 private sites for you to enjoy some of them
are beside and along the Red River. So Jurassic Park
move over the real thing is here for you to explore.
