Vancouver Island is one of the new locations that the new
snowbirders have discovered. With a mild climate and plenty to
do one can not be bored. The largest city on Vancouver Island
is Victoria the capital of British Columbia. This
charming city is located on the most southern part of the
island
Some of the few things to do include: The world famous
Salmon run at Goldstream Park where you will see thousands of
chum salmon in the stream. Hundreds of Bald Eagles can be
seen feasting on the chum salmon as they make the run to
spawning grounds. This natural spectacular usually
runs until the end of dec.
November will find you standing on the street in front of
the legislative buildings waiting like a child for Santa as he
makes a appearance for the parade of lights. Marching
bands clowns and floats will amaze you with the music and

you will find many small communities that each have their own
special attractions. The light up in Ladysmith is well
known the whole town lights up the Xmas lights at the same time

Nanaimo has a population of 80,000 and shopping to make you
mouth water. The harbor sail past is very exciting as the
local sailors light the Hobart with an array of Xmas light all
on their vessels. They sail past the down town parks and then
up the inner channel and back
For places to stay the RV parks have all services you would
want. From treed sites to water front sights close
to shopping and city bus route. Some parks are in the
city and still give you the sense of being out in the wild yet
you are on a few minutes from every thing you will need.
From the charm of the old world Victoria to the charm of the
small villages of the island all will make you feel at home
with friendly people, plenty of shopping, and history to
explore on Vancouver Island you will think you are in
heaven.
